Surrey County Council has adopted a Part Night Lighting Policy for its street lights in residential areas which will see lights in Warlingham being turned off between midnight and 5 a.m. from some time in February or March.
The Parish Council has not been formally consulted on this policy or on which roads will be affected but district councillors have been advised that all roads except Limpsfield, Hillbury and Westhall will be affected. At its last meeting the Council agreed that given the volumes of traffic and the dangerous nature of Succombs Hill that it would ask Surrey to add Farleigh Road, Sunnybank and Narrow Lane/Succombs Hill to the list of roads whose lights will be kept on overnight.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Wednesday 6 September from 7:30 pm in Warlingham Library.
