This year, Remembrance Sunday falls on November 10th. As usual, Warlingham will mark the occasion with a parade and a service on The Green. These are designed to express our gratitude for the sacrifices made by our armed forces personnel in the defence of this country.

The parade, led by the Warlingham Flute Band, will leave the Scout Hut in Mint Walk at 10:30, arriving at The Green at about 10:50. The two minutes silence will be at 11:00, as everywhere, and will be followed by the reading of the names of all those servicemen and servicewomen from Warlingham who died during the two World Wars. Finally, wreaths will be laid by the Royal British Legion and by representatives of our local councils and organisations.

The Chairman of Tandridge District Council, Cllr Jeremey Pursehouse, will be laying the wreath on behalf of Tandridge District Council and all the residents of the District.

There will be parking available for the disabled in the White Lion Public House car park. Please register your car details with the pub prior to commencement of the parade, as there is a new parking system in place.

If you wish to lay a wreath, please contact The Wreath Marshal, will be prominent on The Green, in military headdress and medals before the event begins.
