A plan to fill in Covers Farm Quarry in Westerham could see up to one hundred additional heavy lorries a day coming through Warlingham Green over 5 years. This would cause appalling disruption and highway safety issues and is unacceptable for our village.

The Parish Council has written to Kent County Council to express its gravest concerns. We have requested that Warlingham receives the same protection from HGV traffic that has already been given by Kent to Westerham, Brasted and Sundridge. We are also asking East Surrey MP, Claire Coutinho to use her influence to support our request.

Anyone interested can find full details of what’s planned for Covers Farm on Kent County Council’s website – Planning Application https://www.kentplanningapplications.co.uk/Planning/Display/KCC/SE/0495/2018
