The Bond Road recycling centre is now accepting paper and cardboard, wood, metal, small electrical white goods, batteries, TVs, green waste and textiles. This is good news. However, the Parish Council is continuing to press Surrey County Council to increase the range of waste accepted at the site.
At the time of writing, we have also expressed our frustration that a site in the middle of a residential area does not allow people to bring garden and other waste on foot. Many people are used to walking to the site with a wheelbarrow and there seems to be no good reason why this can’t continue.
