Every Autumn the Parish Council awards grants to organisations working to improve Warlingham’s environment, facilities, economy, security, and community. This year, we have funded:

• Warlingham Churchyard, All Saints Church – to contribute to the cost of maintaining this historic public open space.

• Citizens Advice Bureau – to support CAB in providing free, impartial and independent advice to residents of Warlingham. Demand for this has increased during the pandemic.

• Warlingham Methodist Church Youth Clubs and “Teddy Bears” – to help with the purchase of a games and craft table.

• The Downlands Partnership – to fund a volunteer day to clear and maintain Willy Pit Pond on Leas Road.

We also provided one-off exceptional grants to the Tandridge Befriending Scheme and to St Christopher’s Hospice in recognition of the impact that Covid 19 has had on their work.

At the request of Blanchman’s Farm Local Nature Reserve we have held onto the grant we would normally award in the expectation of providing a bigger grant in 2021.
