If there is one thing that the Covid-19 pandemic has taught us, it is to expect the unexpected. That is why Warlingham Parish Council has set up a Working Group to plan for emergencies, in co-operation with Tandridge District Council and other agencies.

The aim will be to identify all potential emergencies – such as the danger from a gas main explosion or severe snow stranding motorists – and what part the Parish can do to provide help and support.

An Emergency Plan would identify where people can be evacuated to, what equipment will be needed, and which key people will need to be contacted. The plan would be held by the Parish, so it can be put into action immediately.
